In doing so, seek to make the process of creating an intelligent Social Id both more fun and more functional by integrating interactive media.
BizStarts Role: Coaching, mentoring, investor practice pitch, connection to investors
Avimir develops replacements for traditional alphanumeric passwords based upon interactive media for improved digital security. It is a self-funded, B2C product in market, and is seeking capital to expend to B2B markets.
The product offers consumers a new level of digital security that is more secure, memorable, intuitive, convenient and is based upon interactions using multimedia approaches. For example, a user can slide a picture of their pet to various positions on their smartphone screen, tap in a certain rhythm to their favorite song, or gesture with their device in a certain manner to access secured files. These features are currently seeking capital to develop other mobile platforms and cloud-based authentication services (AaaS).
We will soon release an app that enable users to authenticate themselves by how they interact with a virtual assistant. We are also working on a mobile money transfer and POS transactions with a global bank and to adept our technology for those with visual impairments or other disabilities.
Cumbersome and forgettable, passwords are running near the end of their life cycle. With current requirements of 8 or more letters, numbers, and symbols across numerous devices and systems, users can no longer remember all their passwords, writing them or storing them in other non-secure environments, thus significantly compromising their intended "security" and costing billions annually. Avimir authentication methods solve this technical problem.
"The team at BizStarts really helped us refine our revenue models and brought us within the radar screen of the investment partners we needed to reach." - Michael Hill
"We really envision people authenticating themselves simply and confidently without passwords, by controlling their security in ways that other people cannot emulate - through their own personal interactions.
