Enabled by its Rapid Prototyping Center and experienced faculty, staff and students, the MSOE Applied Technology Center can evaluate, consult and assist in the development of prototypes to demonstrate performance or to seek venture funding.
Product concepts can be synthesized or analyzed with suggestions for improvement. All efforts are completely confidential and intellectual property remains with the client.
Product Development
MSOE offers access to the latest in direct digital manufacturing. For low volume items, MSOE can provide custom solutions with additive technologies and rapid tooling to provide a solution in a minimal time frame at a competitive price.
MSOE has additive technology, injection molding, metal casting, and other fabrication process on campus and available through industrial contacts.
University Partnerships
MSOE’s Applied Research & Grants department is experienced in partnering with companies and entrepreneurs for startup funding, e.g., SBIRs, and in providing access to a broad array of applied technologies. MSOE’s skilled students can provide talent through internships, Senior design projects and employment.
Overview
MSOE is an applications-oriented university whose faculty and staff have significant business and industrial experience. Collaboration, e.g., with the Medical College of Wisconsin and others, is combined with extraordinary laboratories and hands-on technology through the Applied Technology Center TM and Applied Research and Grants.
