SBA provides loan programs, including loan guarantees, to approved lenders and credit unions. You apply to the lending institution. We can help you understand what the lender may need to determine eligibility. SBA also funds micro-lenders who make smaller loans. SBA assists businesses interested in selling to the federal government. We offer guidance on the steps needed to get started and how to identify opportunities. We can explain federal certification programs and how they can benefit your business.
Overview
U S Small Business Administration (SBA) is a federal agency started in 1953 to assist individuals in starting or growing a business.
Through our partners, SCORE, the Small Business Development Centers and the Women's Business Centers, we offer classes and counseling to help guide you.
Our lending partners offer the financing that helps you support business creation or growth.
SBA also includes the Office of Advocacy that monitors how regulations developed by federal agencies impacts small businesses.
