Small Business Development Center
The SBDC is a management assistance delivery program of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). There are many branches located within various parts of Wisconsin in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin System and countless more nationwide.
UW-Parkside's SBDC annually assists more than 1,000 small business owners and entrepreneurs of Racine and Kenosha Counties; The SBDC helps businesses function more effectively to increase their profitability, which contributes to growth in employment opportunities as well as the economy.

University Partnerships
Jaeschke Solutions for Economic Growth Center
The SEG Center at UW-Parkside provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience working with companies and organizations to solve business problems.
Student teams are assigned to the selected projects and are run using a strict project management approach. All teams also have a faculty member with whom they work throughout the duration of the project.
Continuous interaction with the client is essential for the project teams to ensure that they are delivering a final solution that is in-line with the overall problem and needs of the client. See 2007-08 project listing.

Global Education Center
The Global Education Center (GEC) at the School of Business and Technology (SBT) is dedicated to:
- Globalize the Business curriculum
- Create additional opportunities for student and faculty exchange with foreign universities
- Develop Joint MBA and MS Programs with foreign universities
- Arrange visits by scholars from foreign universities
- Arrange travel study courses
- Recruit foreign students
- Provide international business expertise to southeastern Wisconsin businesses
GEC serves all the undergraduate and graduate students at SBT, its faculty and staff, and businesses in southeastern Wisconsin. GEC is responsible for coordinating the School's international activities.
Overview
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside
Approved by the Wisconsin Legislature in 1965, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside was officially founded in 1968 and taught its first students on site in 1969. The “youngest” of the 13 four-year campuses in the University of Wisconsin System, UW-Parkside offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Business and Technology.
Students can choose from 30 undergraduate majors, three graduate programs, a nursing consortial program, and several minors, certification programs, pre-professional/ specialized programs, and teacher licensure. More than 90% of UW-Parkside tenure-track/ tenured faculty members hold Ph.D. or equivalent degrees – among the highest rate in the UW System. Our faculty are known locally, nationally, and internationally for their teaching, research, publications, and community service.
