As the most comprehensive export/import resource facility in the state, the Center’s Resource Collection emphasizes directories to assist in finding distributors and sales leads, information on foreign firms, understanding export and import regulations, worldwide marketing and statistical guides, how-to-get-started booklets, country and regional information and the extensive STAT-USA data base covering all aspects of global business and trade statistics.
Staff will answer your questions by phone, fax or e-mail and help you with your research in our Center.
International Markets
Develop the critical skills needed to become a globally competitive organization through the five-part “Organizing for Export” training program. The program is held at your company with your key. The topics covered in the “Organizing for Export” program are appropriate for new-to-export and experienced exporters:
- Assess export readiness
- Develop your export team
- Establish your market overseas
- Organize export operations
- Analyze strategic alliances
Each “Organizing for Export” participant will have their own “OE” resource booklet.
Networking Organizations
The Trade Center maintains active relationships with the Milwaukee World Trade Association and the International Credit Executives association.
We host on-site Partnership Offices of the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Division of International and Export Development: export-readiness assessments, emergency assistance for export problems, trade show promotion opportunities, links to Wisconsin's overseas representatives/area specialists within the state and numerous other trade services.
Forward Wisconsin, Inc., a unique public-private state marketing and business recruitment organization which markets the state to businesses and individuals across the nation and world and provides a variety of business consulting services to prospective expanding businesses.
Overview
The WCTC Global Education & Trade Center prepares the business community and workforce for the realities of a global economy. Over the last 24 years, we have helped thousands of local companies find solutions to their import and export challenges. The Wisconsin Department of Commerce maintains an outreach office on the WCTC campus. Together, we represent the region’s largest technical training source for international trade.
